Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup Almond butter Natural almond butter is preferred for the best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Cocoa powder Use unsweetened cocoa powder for rich flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Honey or maple syrup Choose based on dietary preferences.
  • 2 large Large eggs Room temperature works best for even mixing.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract Pure vanilla extract enhances flavor.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt Helps to balance the sweetness.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda Leavening agent; ensures brownies rise well.
  • 1/2 cup Dark chocolate chips (optional) Can add extra chocolate flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the almond butter, cocoa powder, honey or maple syrup, eggs, vanilla extract, salt, and baking soda. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  3. Fold in the dark chocolate chips if using for an extra chocolatey experience.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
  2. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

Use high-quality almond butter for the best flavor and texture; avoid overly processed varieties. Make sure your eggs are at room temperature to ensure a more uniform mix. Do not overbake the brownies; they should be slightly fudgy in the center when done.
