Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion, seasoning with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Drain excess fat.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture with the beef broth and half of the cheddar cheese.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased casserole dish.
Assembly
- Prepare the biscuit mix according to package instructions and spoon it over the beef mixture.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
- Allow to cool slightly, then garnish with green onions if desired and serve warm.
Notes
Ensure the beef is well-drained to avoid a greasy casserole. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days and reheated easily.
