Ingredients
  

Bread
  • 1 loaf 1 loaf of French or Italian bread
Spread
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup butter, softened Make sure your butter is softened for easy spreading.
  • 4 cloves 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Cheese
  • 1 cup 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Garnish
  • 1 tablespoon 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise and spread the garlic butter mixture evenly on both halves.
  4. Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the buttered halves.
Cooking
  1. Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  2. Remove from the oven, garnish with chopped parsley, and cut into slices. Serve warm.

Notes

For crispier bread, place it directly on the oven rack during the last few minutes of baking. Leftover bread can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. For a different flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes for heat or substitute garlic with roasted garlic for a milder flavor.
