- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cut the cabbage into thick slices to create cups.
- In a skillet, heat a bit of olive oil over medium heat and cook the onion and garlic until softened.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned and cooked through.
- Place the cabbage cups on a baking sheet and fill each cup with the beef mixture. Top with shredded cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, until the cabbage is tender and the cheese is melted.
- Serve warm.
Notes
Ensure the cabbage slices are thick enough to hold the filling without falling apart. Experiment with cheese types; pepper jack provides a spicy kick. Grease the baking sheet well to avoid sticking.
