  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) Cream of mushroom soup Can substitute with cream of celery soup
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) Beef broth Low-sodium varieties work well
  • 1 large Onion, sliced Adds sweetness and depth
  • 2 cups Carrots, sliced Can replace with other root vegetables
  • 2 cups Bell peppers, sliced Any color is fine for variety
  • To taste Salt and pepper Season according to preference
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce Enhances overall flavor

Preparation
  1. Cut the beef round steak into serving-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Layer the sliced onions, carrots, and bell peppers in the Crockpot.
  3. Place the seasoned beef on top of the vegetables.
  4. Mix the cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl. Pour this mixture over the beef and vegetables in the Crockpot.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours until the beef is tender.
  2. Serve warm with your choice of sides.

Notes

Choose a good quality beef round steak for the best flavor and texture. If possible, sear the beef before adding it to the Crockpot for extra depth of flavor. Feel free to add additional herbs like thyme or rosemary for an aromatic touch. For an extra kick, consider adding some red pepper flakes or your choice of hot sauce. Inspect the vegetables; fresh ones will yield better taste and texture. For a little extra sweetness, you can add a tablespoon of brown sugar to the broth mix.
