Mixing and Rising
- In a large bowl, mix the sourdough starter and warm water until combined.
- Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until a dough forms.
- Fold in the chopped dill pickles and dill.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 4-6 hours, or until doubled in size.
Baking
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan.
- Let it rise again for about 30 minutes.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
- Allow it to cool before slicing.
