Ingredients

Baking Essentials
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Mix-Ins
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup optional nuts (walnuts or pecans) Can substitute with dried fruits for variation.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter and brown sugar, mixing until well blended. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, stirring continuously until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually incorporate this dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  4. Gently fold in the chocolate chips and any nuts you are using. Ensure they are evenly distributed in the batter.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Notes

Ensure the eggs are at room temperature for easier mixing and fluffier blondies. Don't overmix the batter to keep the blondies chewy and not cake-like. Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For a unique twist, consider trying out different types of chocolate or nut combinations.
