Preparation
- In a small bowl, combine the yeast and warm water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and salt, creating a well in the center.
- Add the frothy yeast mixture, olive oil, minced garlic, and fresh rosemary into the flour mixture. Stir until a dough begins to form.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough back in the bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and allow it to rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Baking
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide it into equal portions.
- Shape each piece into a ball and place them in a greased muffin tin.
- Cover the muffin tin with a cloth and let the dough rise for another 20-30 minutes.
- Bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Allow them to cool slightly before enjoying.
Notes
For a crispy crust, bake muffins on a preheated stone or sheet pan. Ensure proper rising time for optimal muffin height.
