Ingredients

Pasta Ingredients
  • 8 oz Pasta of choice Any short pasta works well, like penne or fusilli.
  • 1 lb Ground beef Lean ground beef or ground turkey for a lighter option.
  • 1 cup Heavy cream Use half-and-half for a lighter creaminess.
  • 2 cups Beef broth Homemade or store-bought for convenience.
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese Freshly grated yields the best flavor.
  • 1 Onion Diced; yellow or sweet onion works best.
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced; fresh garlic enhances flavor significantly.
  • Salt and pepper To taste; adjust based on your preference.
  • Fresh parsley For garnish; adds color and freshness.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large pan, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add the diced onion and garlic to the pan and sauté until softened.
  3. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer.
  4. Stir in the pasta and cook according to package instructions.
  5. Once the pasta is cooked, reduce heat to low and stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until creamy.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Always drain excess grease from the ground beef for a less greasy dish. Use freshly grated Parmesan cheese for enhanced flavor. Add a splash of white wine when simmering the beef broth for extra depth.
