Ingredients

Protein
  • 1 lb beef (thinly sliced)
Rice/Grains
  • 2 cups sushi rice
Veggies
  • 1 avocado (sliced)
  • 1 cucumber (julienned)
Wrapper
  • 4 sheets nori (seaweed)
Sauce
  • Creamy sauce (mayonnaise mixed with sriracha or your favorite dressing)
  • Soy sauce (for serving)
Toppings
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Method

Preparation
  1. Cook sushi rice according to package instructions. Allow it to cool.
Rolling
  1. Lay a sheet of nori on a bamboo sushi mat. Spread a thin layer of sushi rice over the nori, leaving a small border at the top.
  2. Arrange slices of beef, avocado, and cucumber in a line across the rice.
  3. Carefully roll the sushi away from you, pressing firmly to keep the filling inside.
  4. Seal the edge of the nori with a little water.
  5. Slice the roll into bite-sized pieces.
Serving
  1. Drizzle with creamy sauce and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  2. Serve with soy sauce for dipping.

Notes

Make sure the sushi rice is sticky enough to hold the rolls together. Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor and texture. For easier slicing, use a sharp knife and wet it between cuts. Store any leftover rolls in the refrigerator to maintain freshness. Feel free to experiment with ingredients, like adding a spicy tuna mix for a twist.
