Ingredients
  

Fruits
  • 2 pieces ripe mangoes, peeled and pitted Choose ripe mangoes for the best flavor; they should be slightly soft to the touch.
Sweetener
  • 1/4 cup sugar Adjust according to sweetness preference.
Acid
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice Consider using fresh lime juice for a brighter flavor.
Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Liquid
  • 1/4 cup water Use as needed to thin out the sauce.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a blender, combine the mangoes, sugar, lime juice, and salt.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. If the sauce is too thick, add water a little at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary.
Serving
  1. Serve over chicken, seafood, desserts, pancakes, or tacos.

Notes

Mango Sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. If you prefer a spicy kick, add a pinch of chili powder or cayenne pepper.
