Ingredients

Ice Cream Base
  • 1 cup Whole Milk Use cold for faster blending.
  • 0.5 cup Heavy Cream For a creamy, smooth texture.
  • 1 cup Fresh or Frozen Blueberries Blend until smooth; strain to remove skins for a silky finish.
  • 3 tbsp Granulated Sugar Adjust sweetness to taste if you prefer a tarter finish.
  • 1 tbsp Cream Cheese Helps thicken and smooth the texture.
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract Adds rounded flavor to the blueberry.
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice Brightens the fruit flavor.
  • 0.25 tsp Salt Balances sweetness and boosts blueberry flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Blend the blueberries with lemon juice, sugar, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
  2. Pass the mixture through a fine sieve to achieve a silky puree, removing any skins.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the blueberry puree with whole milk, heavy cream, softened cream cheese, and vanilla extract. Mix until fully incorporated.
Freezing
  1. Pour the mixture into a Ninja Creami pint container and freeze for at least 4 hours until solid.
  2. Insert the frozen pint into the Ninja Creami machine and process according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Notes

Ensure your milk and cream are cold to achieve a smoother blend. Use fresh blueberries for the best flavor, but frozen ones can also work well. Don’t skip straining for a smooth texture. For easier serving, let the ice cream sit at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping.
