Ingredients

Fresh Ingredients
  • 4 pieces Tomatoes Fresh, diced
  • 1 piece Onion Chopped; substitute with shallots for a milder flavor
  • 3 cloves Garlic Mince; can replace with garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon Chili powder Adjust to taste; smoked chili powder adds depth
  • ½ cup Cilantro Chopped; parsley works as a green substitute
  • 2 tablespoons Lime juice Freshly squeezed for best flavor

Method

Preparation
  1. Chop the tomatoes and onions, mince the garlic, and chop the cilantro.
Cooking
  1. Heat a pan over medium heat, add onions, and sauté until translucent.
  2. Stir in the diced tomatoes, garlic, and chili powder; cook until blended.
  3. Add chopped cilantro and stir for another 1-2 minutes.
  4. Squeeze in lime juice, mix well, and remove from heat.
Serving
  1. Plate your dish, optionally garnishing with extra cilantro and lime wedges.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients whenever possible for maximum flavor. Adjust spice levels according to your taste; start with less chili powder if you’re unsure. Pair with warm tortillas for a delightful texture contrast.
