  • 200 g salmon fillet
Veggies
  • 2 large potatoes Thinly sliced
Dairy
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
Oils & Fats
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
Spices
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Garnish
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).
  2. Thinly slice the potatoes and lay them out on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Baking
  1. Bake the potato slices for about 15-20 minutes until they are slightly crispy.
  2. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and layer the salmon fillet on top of the potatoes.
  3. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the salmon.
  4. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  5. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve warm.

Notes

Use a mandoline for uniformly sliced potatoes to ensure even cooking. Pay attention to the timing to avoid overcooking the salmon. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to three days, reheating in the oven for best results. For a bit of extra crunch, broil the pizza for the last minute of cooking.
