Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the mashed bananas, pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips gently to distribute them evenly.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
Baking
  1. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  2. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, always use very ripe bananas; they add flavor and sweetness. Allow the bread to cool completely before slicing to maintain its structure. Consider adding nuts like walnuts or pecans for extra texture. If you enjoy a spicier bread, feel free to increase the cinnamon or add ginger.
