Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces Chicken thighs Bone-in or boneless both work well.
  • 1 cup Peach barbecue sauce Store-bought or homemade.
  • Salt and pepper Adjust according to preference.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil Can substitute with vegetable oil.
  • Fresh peaches For garnish (optional).

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the chicken thighs generously with salt and pepper to enhance the flavor.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, then sear the chicken thighs until golden brown on both sides.
  4. Place the seared chicken in a baking dish and pour peach barbecue sauce over the top, ensuring it’s well coated.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  6. Garnish with fresh peaches if desired and serve hot.

Notes

Always allow the chicken to come to room temperature before cooking for even cooking. Check the internal temperature of the chicken with a meat thermometer for accurate doneness. For added flavor, marinate the chicken thighs in the barbecue sauce for a few hours before cooking. If you prefer a spicy kick, consider adding red pepper flakes to the peach barbecue sauce. Experiment with garnishes such as herbs, or even nuts for added texture. Common mistakes to avoid include not searing the chicken for flavor retention, overcooking the chicken which can lead to toughness, not adjusting seasoning for best flavor, and crowding the pan during cooking.
