Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and garlic; sauté until softened.
- Add sliced mushrooms, season with salt and pepper, and cook until moisture is released and evaporated.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface. Place the mushroom mixture in the center and top with grated Gruyère.
- Cut slits along the edges of the pastry, then fold them over the filling to create a braid.
- Brush with beaten egg for a golden finish.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
