Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef (85% lean)
Sauce
  • 1 cup Pizza sauce Can substitute with salsa or tomato sauce.
  • 1/2 cup Water
Veggies
  • 1/2 cup Onion (chopped)
Spices
  • 1 packet Taco seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp Chili powder (optional) For extra heat.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Add the ground beef to the slow cooker, breaking it up into smaller pieces to ensure even cooking.
  2. Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the beef, then add the chopped onion, garlic, pizza sauce, and water.
  3. Stir everything well to combine the ingredients and distribute the flavors evenly within the meat.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, checking for doneness.
  2. Once cooked, shred the beef with a fork and mix everything together again. Adjust any seasoning if necessary.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days in the refrigerator. For a spicier kick, include jalapeƱos or use spicy taco seasoning.
