Oils
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Rice/Grains
  • Cooked rice for serving Serve hot over cooked rice.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix the beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
  2. In a large pan or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
Cooking
  1. Add ginger and garlic, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  2. Add the marinated beef to the pan and cook until browned.
  3. Add the broccoli florets and cook for 3-4 minutes until tender.
  4. Pour in beef broth and oyster sauce, then stir to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  5. Serve hot over cooked rice.

Notes

Cut the beef against the grain for more tender slices. Adjust the cooking time for broccoli based on your texture preference; slightly crunchy is ideal for flavor. Make sure the pan is hot enough to sear the beef for a nice color. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
