Ingredients
  

Protein
  • 1 lb beef (sliced thin) Flank steak or sirloin recommended for best results.
Veggies
  • 2 cups broccoli florets Fresh or frozen broccoli can be used.
Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Can use gluten-free soy sauce for a gluten-free option.
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
Thickener
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Spices
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Oils
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Grains
  • Cooked rice for serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix beef with cornstarch, soy sauce, and a pinch of salt. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
  2. Add marinated beef and sauté until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add broccoli and a splash of water to steam it, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until tender.
  4. Stir in oyster sauce and mix everything well.
  5. Serve hot over cooked rice.

Notes

Ensure your pan is hot before adding beef for a better sear. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
