Preparation
- Roll out each slice of bread to flatten it.
- Spread a generous amount of Nutella on each slice.
- Roll the bread up tightly.
Mixing
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
- On a separate plate, mix sugar and remaining cinnamon.
Cooking
- Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Dip each roll in the egg mixture, then place in the skillet.
- Cook until golden brown on all sides.
- Roll cooked French toast roll ups in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Serve warm, perhaps with a side of fresh fruit.
Notes
Make sure to flatten the bread well to ensure an even spread of Nutella. Keep an eye on the heat; too high can burn the outside before cooking the inside. Customize the filling with peanut butter or fruit preserves for a twist. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge and reheat in a toaster.
